pumpkin patch!

This weekend was still gorgeous around the pacific nw, minus the wind - wow. Since it's almost October it officially feels like fall to me and what better way to welcome it in than a corn maze and pumpkin patch, complete with a hay ride! Thank you South 47 Farm for a beautiful fall afternoon.

although i may not be lengthy in what i blog, i absolutely LOVE reading what other people have to say! thank goodness for a nifty app that keeps them all in one place for me! of course there are a million more blogs out there, but i keep a rotation going of ones i can keep up with regularly.

i turn 2!

apparently eden has some difficulty answering the question "how old are you?"  - she either says "1!" or "3!", but sometime after that provides the statement "i turn 2" to settle the matter. having a 2 year old is by far my favorite part of parenting thus far. i love the personality, the faces, the singing, the hugs, the imagination. that is not to say it doesn't come with challenges, but i think the plus' far outweigh any of them. it just gets better and better!

birthday girl!

Yesterday was Eden girl's 2nd birthday, and we had a blast! Started the day with chocolate chip pancakes, the after Chris got home we headed to the American Girl store (her fave place that she calls "Merican Girl one") and then to the Disney store for her big present.....a set of chapstick..... Cannot believe two years have gone by SO fast, but cannot imagine life without this ray of sunshine... we love you!!

take your kiddos to work day

Friday was "take your sons and daughters to work day" over at Microsoft, and while she's not exactly old enough to hang around all day we still had a blast. The place was swarming with kids, bouncy

castles, candy, firetrucks, etc. Much fun had by all :)

strawberry pickin'

Today was one of those days that i was just tired of parks and swim suits.. (maybe the accident in the swim suit yesterday put me over the edge) SO, we decided to go strawberry picking! I was actually aiming for blueberries, since Chris is allergic to strawberries, but apparently it's been too cold and they are not ripe yet. anywhere. so strawberries it was! eden had a blast, and ate about 10 times what she picked as you can see. now i have two whole flats and have no idea what to do with them all! but fun was had, and one strawberry stained girl has finally crashed for a nap :)

not the die hard strawberry picker, this kid was tired about 10 minutes into it... "i sit"...

summer days

we've had a few hit and miss days of sunshine, and yesterday was one of them. we hung out in the yard (we call it our yard, technically it's just condo common property :), splashed in the pool, ran through the sprinkler and colored with sidewalk chalk. this is why we love summer!
